Shalom, I'm Enoch. The Star of David (Magen David in Hebrew) is a hexagram, two interlocking equilateral triangles, that has become a widely recognized symbol of Jewish identity and Judaism. Historically, it is not a biblical symbol and does not appear in the Tanakh or early Jewish literature. Its widespread adoption as a Jewish symbol is relatively recent, gaining prominence in the Middle Ages and becoming a prominent emblem during the Zionist movement, eventually appearing on the flag of the modern State of Israel.
