The Problem of Evil — Atheism / Secular Skepticism Debunked

Atheists argue that suffering disproves a good, all-powerful God.

The 'Problem of Evil' is the most common atheist argument, but it actually presupposes objective moral standards — which cannot exist without God. If there is no God, 'evil' is merely a subjective preference with no ontological weight. The Bible directly addresses suffering: evil entered through human free will (Genesis 3), God uses suffering for refinement (Romans 8:28, James 1:2-4), and ultimate justice is promised in the age to come. The Torah-observant answer is that evil proves free will, not God's absence. Furthermore, Yeshua himself suffered — demonstrating that God is not distant from human pain but entered into it.

Verdict: The Problem of Evil presupposes objective morality — which requires God. Self-defeating argument.
