Rabbinic Judaism replaced the biblical sacrificial system with the Oral Torah (Talmud) after the Temple's destruction in 70 CE. The Talmud Bavli (Sanhedrin 98b, Sukkah 52a) originally identified the Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53 as the Messiah — Rashi (11th century) later reinterpreted it as 'Israel' to counter Christian arguments. The Seder Olam Rabbah deliberately shortened the Persian period by ~165 years to make Daniel's 70 Weeks prophecy miss Yeshua's ministry. Even the Zohar and Targum Jonathan confirm messianic readings that modern Rabbinics suppress.
